Since 1996 LRI is the main organizer of a traditional annual meeting in mathematics and mathematical physics - the International Summer School on Global Analysis and its Applications. Some of the conferences were coorganized with the University of Prešov (Slovakia), Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland), Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), Silesian University in Opava, Masaryk University in Brno, Palacky University in Olomouc, VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, and the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists (Czech Republic).

The main lecturers of courses were the leading experts in the field, namely Ian M.
